I have no doubt that JT will be setting more records in the High Jump as the weather warms up. Clearing 7' on such a cold and windy day is such an amazing feat, but the scary thing is is that he is just beginning to show us what he's got.

Grandview’s James White sailed over 7 feet on his final attempt and won the boys’ high jump Friday at the Kansas Relays.

NEW HEIGHT FOR WHITE: Another star from the Kansas City area stepped up in the boys’ high jump. After clearing 6-10 at a meet earlier this spring, Grandview sophomore James White set his sights on 7 feet. Now, those sights are on 7-2 after White cleared 7 on his third and final attempt and won his first Relays title.“I didn’t think I could get 7 (on such a cold and blustery day),” White said. “I was thinking about it the whole time. I knew I was just going to give it my all.”

After Jumping 7' on Friday JT extended his outstanding ways by leading our Sophomore Squad to an Undefeated Tournament Appearance in the MAYB Springfield III Tournament. JT was deadly from beyond the ark which got our squad ahead early and often. He also treated the crowd to some amazing dunks that electrified the stands and had everyone including the referees shaking their heads in amazement. I'm so glad that we got him on our team, great Job JT and keep up the good work.
