The X Factor Vision

The Legacy Basketball Association was established not only to develop the basketball skills of our youth, because we all know that Basketball, well, it's just a game. Basketball, this game that we all love so much, does more than train us how to make a lay-up, chest pass or jump shot. Basketball does more than teach us how to break a press or beat a 2-3 zone. Basketball in its truest form is the ultimate source to teach our youth LIFE SKILLS. LIFE SKILLS that include conflict resolution (how to overcome bad officiating); performing under pressure (competing against a superior opponent);  and sportsmanship (conducting ourselves by observing the rules of fair and honest play, respect for others and exercising graciousness whether we win or lose).

Most organizations, whether its a youth sports program or a Fortune 500 company lose site and focus when their main purpose is winning at all cost, (THIS IS NOT THE X FACTOR WAY). Our philosophy and what we focus on is concerned more about how we win and how we lose. The success of this organization is not based on how many games we win or how many games we lose. Our success in based on how prepared we are for the competition, the game just happens to determines the outcome.

Winning is a good thing, and we've been pretty successful at it. But, its taken a lot of hard work by each and every person that suits up. THE X FACTOR WAY, cares just as much about how our youth perform off the court as they do on the court. We have a no grades no play rule and it will be enforced with no exceptions.

The X Factor Way places more emphasizes on the whole or complete person. Our organizational motto is: "building character, mind, body and spirit" and its a must that we strive to achieve this goal in practice, in games and in our LIVES.

“I would rather coach a team with players having minimal basketball skills who are respectful and decent young men and women that  give me 100% of what they have, than a team with exceptional basketball players who are disrespectful and un-coachable.

By becoming a member of the Legacy Basketball Association you'll be joining a family. I have a huge family on both my mother and fathers side. And just as I will do anything in my power for them, I will do the same for you. If you give me 100% of what you got, I'll give you 100% of what I got just as if you were my own.

When the day is done and we've practiced hard, played hard and competed fairly the outcome of any game can't compare to the feeling of doing things TOGETHER.
